We are finally going to cash it in and go on a
service trip!!
Wahoo!!
Dallen heaved the pickle jar of change and dumped it on the living room floor.
He and Seth divided the

and stuffed them into three backpacks to hall
to the bank.

Elder Seth Vaughn Garner you have been called to serve....
Seth opened his mission call on November 14th. We meet at Mom and Dad's house that evening to watch him open it. Seth was very sweet, humble and tender. It was so exciting to hear him read the letter. He has been called to serve in the California San Diego Mission, he reports to the M.T.C. on January 23rd. We all could not be more excited for Seth and the people in San Diego. We know he will touch many lives. We are grateful to Seth and his sacrifice to serve, we know our family will be blessed for his efforts. WE LOVE YOU SETH. We are so excited for you!!
Looking official!!

Congratulations to Zac!!
Zac graduated from Military Boot Camp in Missouri on August 22nd.
Taylor, Oliver and Hazel ~ Happy reunion after the graduation!!
It's been 12 weeks apart.
They got to spend from 1pm to 8pm after graduation and 8:30am to 8:30pm the next day together.
Then it's good by again for the next 4-1/2 months.
Zac sneaks a kiss before he has to head out to Texas for Basic Training.
(There isn't suppose to be any public affection while in uniform!)
Lined up and ready for a 22 hour bus ride to Texas for Basic Training.
He will finish January 10th.
Oliver's airport mode of transportation. Haha

Warning......not for the week at heart, graphic grossness!
And trauma lives on......
Just thought everyone would like to see the latest mishaps in the Baird Family!
Lauri goes head to head
with a razor.
That dang boxing it up to
move process!
(Good thing she has a dad who makes
stitching house calls)
Scott drops a big metal carpet stripping machine on his foot snapping the end of the
bone off the big toe.
It's totally GROSS!!
(Since this picture, the nail is now completely black matching his completely black fingernail from a run in with a saw a couple months ago.)
Dallen hiked the hills at night and met up with some poison oak. It's pretty much all over his body.
And..... Seth woke up with his head laying on his shoulder and the muscle on the side of his neck lumped up like a large goiter!!
(I didn't take a pic of that)
Turned out to be Torticollis, or wry neck.
We Garner's need a Dad Doc to make
house calls!
$$$
Thus life's traumas keep coming!!

Seth wins the big one!
Seth apparently has the art genes flowing down the family tree.......
He took a painting class last year and liked it enough he decided to jump into
AP art this year
and Walla!
His picture; 'Between the Lines' won the top honor,
'Best of Show'
for the 2012 Davis County High School and Junior High School Art Show!
They give him a booth at Summerfest this summer to show and sell his art.
It was one priceless memory recorded in my head when they announced his name.....
Perplexed Shock, then uncontrollable excitment and joy burst right out of his body.
Only he can make faces like that! Wish I could play you the video in my head...teeeheee

Dunn's Five Generation 'From 1 to 103 years!'
Zac and Taylor's
Oliver Dunn
is named after Zac's Great Grandfather
"Oliver Dunn"
who just turned an AMAZING 103 years old!
He is quite spry, only mildly using a cane, still sharp and happy as ever!
He wants to live until his wife turns 100 (I think that is four more years)
He is so nice and always smiling.
He is the oldest ever Eagle Scout.
Check out his birthday news spotlight.
Here is little Oliver's five generation picture

OK, Payton is crazy
A few weeks ago Payton laid a nice gash in his thumb
cutting through his tendon.
He had surgery to reattach it and close up the wound.
They had to place a pin in his thumb to keep it in immobile while it healed.
Monday he went in to get the stitches out.
The doctor tested the pin and said it was not yet ready to come out,
and to come back in a couple weeks.
Payton had been on the count down to get the darn thing out.
He couldn't wait any longer
Check out the video
*unless you are grossed out by that kind of stuff
Then simply go about your merry way not thinking
one bit about a pin coming out - it's a chill maker!
(I couldn't get it to load on the blog so you will have to
copy and paste this to your url bar and enter to watch it.)

See Matt grow a GIANT PUMPKIN !

It was an awesome year for the Grow Big or Go Home Mountain Green clan.
Matt totally creamed his winning record from last year with not one,
but two awesome pumpkins.
His Utah record breaking weight last year was 1169 lbs. This year he broke that record for a short moment with a 1300+ giant. I can't remember the exact size since just a few minutes later they stuck his gigantor alien pumpkin on the scale and it weighed in at
a whopping 1600 lbs!!
What an awesome moment for Matt and all of us Crazy Matt lovers!

The winner got blessed with a chilly ice water dowsing
followed by a big whip cream pie to the face.
Matt's plan next year is to take the year off
from growing the giant orange blobs,
build a giant green house instead
and shoot for the World record in 2013!!
See Matt
See Matt haul crap.........
Go Matt Go!!

Vivienne Hazel
We finally welcomed our sweet little bean on April 22, 2011. Labored at home for a few days! Went to the hospital at 1:30 in the morning due to my water breaking and I was dilated to a 6.5! Hooked me up to get my antibiotics for Strep B. Had my Epidural at 5:00. Second dose of antibiotics at 7:00, checked at that time and dilated to a 9! Trial push just after 9:00 and she was ready! Four more pushes and she was here!!
Weighing in at 6 lbs. 15 oz.
Measuring 21 in. long
Born at 9:31 A.M.
We have had so much fun with her! She is a dream baby! Sleeps and nurses like a champ. Cries very little and is just content as can be to hang out with us. Loves her sponge baths and having her little head rubbed. We love her more than we can comprehend. Already had a successful night out with mini golfing and dinner at Olive Garden with Grandma and Grandpa Garner!

Pumpkin Drop!
Friday, October 8, 2010
Yes Matt IS the PUMPKIN King!
All the pumpkins were lined up to be viewed and weighed.
When Matt's pumpkin came up for it's turn, we held our breath. They placed it on the scale and kept the weight hidden until it stabilized. When they uncovered the number and showed the scale tipping at a whopping 1169 lbs, beating the state record, we all went CRAZY!!!
Next, they weighed the pumpkin that was measuring to likely win, the feeling was tense. I thought it was only the McConkie clan, but I looked around at all the people, everyone was momentarily silent. Then, they uncovered the scale, the silence broke and the crowd went crazy!
It was almost mass hysteria!
WE WENT CRAZY!! We couldn't believe he had WON! We were screaming, we were laughing, we were crying. It was great! People were practically mobbing Matt to shake his hand and get a picture.
Couldn't have been better.
Thanks for the fun Matt!

The Pumpkin King!

So me n' Lyss just saw Matt on the news! Read the report HERE. It says that it could be the largest pumpkin in Utah history, and it looks like he's been feeding it manure and happy meals. Put some clothes on that thing, Matt, it's indecent! But way to go, WOOT WOOT!
