Simon's blessing

Hey family, sorry this is such short notice, but we wanted to let everyone know we are blessing Simon tomorrow. It is at 9 am and the church is on the corner of 300 north and 500 east in Logan. We are having a little brunch at our house right after sacrament meeting. We'd love to have any of you there, but we know it's way short notice so if you can't make it, no problem. Love you all!

Jeremy's 38th birthday!

Even though his birthday week wasn't as fun or eventful as he would have liked because of working on the house, he was able to have fun with mom and dad and big sis looking at scrapbooks an having yummy food. You're so loved Jeremy!!!

The lace on the bottom of her dress was some that was cut off the bottom of a worn out pillow case and carefully saved by her
great grandmother Virginia Garner

Our Awesome Big Bro

Russ and the Iron Man

As unbelievable as it is to all of us who can't even imagine the possibility of going the distance of an iron man.......2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a full 26 mile marathon run, RUSS SIGNED UP!!!

Saint George Iron Man May 5th 2012

Trying to train through tax season didn't give
him much time.
As soon as tax season ended he had about 2-1/2 weeks to crank some extra work outs.
Here he is doing some serious leg workouts at
Bear Lake on his mountain bike.

Happily ready to go!!

Results:

Off to a great start swimming, ten minutes later the weather threw a curse down and brought forth huge 4 to 6 foot waves not only sending many swimmers back to shore but capsizing the rescue boats!

After getting pummeled by wave after wave and swallowing water Russ thought, "You know, I pulled a guy out at a race that didn't make it", and so he joined the masses heading to shore.

Two hours later the race officials decided to let those who had to bail go ahead and go on to bike and run "un-officially", so Russ hopped on his bike
and headed out.

The Saint George Iron Man is touted as about the hardest because of all the hills. Well Russ went about  about 50 miles against the wind and conquered even the toughest hill they call "The Wall". Then, he said it was a major rush going down the other side at a speed of 50 miles an hour! CRAAAAAZZZY!!

He went a total of 70 miles and missed the cut off time to go on by 10 minutes.
He said all-in-all it was a great experience he would definitely like to do again.
GO-RUSS-GO
You make us proud!
